MobileMerchant Migration Information page

We’re closing our MobileMerchant product

We’re closing our MobileMerchant product to make way for Elavon Mobile, our new mobile point-of-sale powered by talech. Elavon Mobile brings you improved functions, robust reporting and greater flexibility when serving your customers. It’s also a solution that will grow with your business.

What should you do?

There’s nothing you need to do. We’re upgrading you to our Elavon Mobile mPOS for free. We’ll let you know by email once your new card reader is on its way.

Moving from MobileMerchant to Elavon Mobile

Hate moving? Don’t worry – we’ve done all the heavy lifting for you to make your move to Elavon Mobile quick and easy.

Your new Elavon Mobile card reader is white and easy to differentiate from your old black MobileMerchant card reader. Your Elavon Mobile card reader will only work with the talech Mobile app.

When you receive your new device, there are just a few steps you’ll need to take.

  • Turn off your old, black MobileMerchant card reader.
  • Download the talech mPOS app
  • Find the Quick Start Guide we’ve included in your courier package (also available here). Follow the instructions in the guide to set up and pair your new Elavon Mobile card reader.
  • You can begin taking card payments on Elavon Mobile as soon as you’ve completed the set-up.
  • Login to the MobileMerchant portal to download your transaction data for your records. You’ll have access to the portal for two more months.

What to do with your old device

In keeping with EU guidelines, your old MobileMerchant card reader should be recycled. You can drop it into any WEEE recycling facility near you
