DUBLIN (22 June 2023) – Elavon Merchant Services (EMS) has appointed Eva Paredes to lead its Small and Medium Businesses (SMBs) in the UK and Ireland.

Paredes joins the leadership team reporting to Hemlata Narasimhan, EMS President in Europe.

“Eva is a fantastic addition to our leadership team. Not only is she a strong female leader, her depth of experience in payments and fintech will be a valuable asset as Elavon expands its SMB offering in the UK and Ireland to support our thousands of small business customers,” Narasimhan says.

Paredes joins Elavon from Visa where she served as Head of Client Management and Business Development, Acquirers and Enabler in Europe. In this role, Paredes built the commercial proposition in Europe, and led the relationship with Visa’s largest acquirers and the enablement business development team across the region, developing and working on numerous partnerships and programmes to digitise SMBs.

Before joining Visa, Paredes was Head of Issuing and Fintech, UK and Ireland at MasterCard. She also had several roles at American Express, including Head of Partnerships with Global Travel Clients, and Revenue Management for the Corporate Travel Business. Paredes began her career in the telecommunications industry in Sweden and Latin America.
