How does tax free shopping work?
Shop: With an Elavon point-of-sale device, customers who are eligible for inTternational tax refunds are automatically recognised and provided with the information needed to reclaim international tax duties on the purchase of goods
Stamp: At the airport or port, customers go to the Customs desk and present their completed Tax Free Form, passport, receipts and purchases to get a stamp on their form. Goods should be available for inspection, unused and with the original receipts
Claim: At a desk or office displaying a Tax Free (Global Blue) logo. In some cases this will be a currency exchange. Customers present their stamped, completed Tax Free Form to receive the refund in cash or to their credit card.
