Certain products were incorrectly classified under European Economic Area (EEA) tiers and thereby added to all existing Unblended Pricing across all EU currencies from April 2018 February 2020.
Those transactions have been processed as EEA and as a result the incorrect European Economic Area Mobile Service Charges (EEA MSC) have been charged.
However, based on card regions these products were intended to be mapped as inter-regional transactions (Non-EEA) card tiers.
From March 2020, these transactions will be charged at the correct rate, which might mean you will see a higher cost for a limited number of your transactions.
Elavon would like to clarify that we will not be recouping the undercharges. Additionally, please note that the correction of the tier code mapping does not impact your contract (Schedule of Fees). This is not the application of a new fee on your statement, but a change purely correcting an error in the classification of tiers.
For a detailed description on fees applicable to your account, please refer to your Schedule of Fees. Below you will see the definitions of EEA and Non-EEA. Please note you can access your statement via
